Tianhua Institute Approved to Establish a National Local Joint Engineering Research Center

Recently, National Development and Reform Commission officially approved the establishment of the "National Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Energy Saving and Environmental Protection Technology and Equipment in Chemical Processes” by Tianhua Institute of Chemical Machinery & Automation Co., Ltd. under China National Chemical Equipment Corporation (CNCE).

As an important innovation platform connecting the National Engineering Research Center and provincial engineering research center, the National Joint Engineering Research Center for Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Technology and Equipment of Chemical Processes is an important part of the national innovation system. The main task of the center is to firmly implement the strategy of innovation-driven development and focus on the regional industrial characteristics and advantages to solve the bottle problems of key technologies and equipment in industrial development.

According to the development needs of regional economy and the chemical industry, petrochemical industry, coal chemical industry and other industries, the center will prioritize innovation in key generic technologies, cutting-edge frontier technologies, modern engineering technologies, and disruptive technologies urgently needed for technological progress and structural adjustment of the industry, and undertake research and development and engineering research tasks assigned by the central government, local governments and industrial authorities. Meanwhile, it will follow the trends of technological development, establish a system in which the market points the way, and enterprises, universities and research institutes work together, carry out engineering and system integration of major scientific & technological achievements with important market values, realize technology transfer and diffusion through market mechanism, and keep providing mature advanced technology, processes, products and equipment for large-scale production. In terms of regional support, the center will make further innovation on the basis of absorbing advances in overseas science and technology, carry out international cooperation and exchanges, enhance the capability of independent innovation in chemical equipment, provide engineering technology verification and consultation services for regional and industrial chemical equipment, training high-level talents for regional and industrial engineering technical research management, support the building of modern economic system, and keep enhancing the innovation and competitiveness of regional economy.

The establishment of the "National Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Energy-Saving and Environmental Protection Technology and Equipment in Chemical Processes" is another national technological innovation platform of Tianhua Institute.
