ChemChina role models in combating COVID-19 commended by SASAC

The SASAC held a conference on October 22 to commend role models in the SOEs fight against the novel coronavirus epidemic. Some 100 individuals groups and 300 individuals were honored. Adama’s Jingzhou Base was awarded the title of advanced collective. Haohua Chairman Hu Dongchen, Zhao Guofeng, Manager of Dubai solar thermal molten salt storage tank project, and Zhang Guoqiang, Head of the chemical equipment development department under the Tianhua Institute, won the honorary title of outstanding models.

To ease the supply gap of disinfectant after the epidemic outbreak, at the requirement of ChemChina, Jingzhou Base immediately organized the production of disinfectant and donated all of them.

On February 5, the State Council called for the central enterprises to increase medical supplies. Led by Chairman Hu Dongchen, Haohua and its subsidiaries completed the design of the first batch of isolation clothing and delivered them to use in 5 days. During the epidemic period, its daily output was 3000 sets, and the cumulative output was 49000 sets. Zhonghao Chenguang successfully developed e-PTFE microfiltration membrane masks to fill the supply gap of meltblown fabrics, and  delivered more than 3.82 million masks.

Led by Zhao Guofeng, Dubai solar thermal molten salt storage tank project ensured an effective prevention and control of the epidemic, which set a good example for overseas projects.

Tianhua Institute completed the production technology of polypropylene melt blown materials for protective masks and protective clothing in a short period, especially the technology of medical melt blown materials with melt finger more than 1000.
